This series has been designed to support and guide the safe administration of monoclonal antibodies in the cancer setting based on the best, currently available evidence.


About

The monoclonal antibodies and immune checkpoint inhibitors series provides an overview of the immune system, explains the different classes of monoclonal antibodies (MABs), including immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs), and describes the nursing considerations for the clinical management of patients receiving these drugs in the cancer setting. The series comprises of three key sections, each of which contains multiple shorter topics.

The learning series can be approached as a comprehensive blended learning course incorporating online and face-to-face assessment, a comprehensive online only course or as individual topics with no formal assessments.

Learners should discuss with their local facilitator how the course is utilised in their local facility before beginning the series.
