Pancreatic cancer - how much do you really know?

Take 5 minutes to test your knowledge of pancreatic cancer with our latest rapid learning.

The mortality rates for pancreatic cancer remain high compared to other cancers, with only marginal improvements in survival being achieved over the last forty years.

This eLearning provides an overview of pancreatic cancer, its impact on Australians and current treatment options.

Day of Treatment Assessment Tool

How do you holistically assess your patients pre-treatment? Is it standardised? Do you use streamlined documentation? Is there a clear action plan?

We are currently developing a risk assessment tool to standardise pre-treatment assessment and grading of treatment-related toxicities and direct the clinician to the appropriate course of action.

It will work similar to the telephone triage toolkit and use the same Red, Amber and Green (RAG) scoring system to assess whether a patient is fit for treatment, with prompting questions, ECOG performance status review and an action tool.

ADAC Update

We are ending the year on a high with some great progress on ADAC. Check out the latest video update.

Same, same but different!

We’ve made a small change to the way we refer to systemic anti-cancer therapies (SACT) across our website and eLearning resources. Previously we used terms such as antineoplastic across courses - but have decided, along with eviQ, to consistently use anti-cancer when referring to chemotherapy, targeted therapy or immunotherapy. It’s much easier to say and thankfully lets us retain the “A” in ADAC!

2020 highlights

There’s never been a year quite like 2020 - one where our health services have been recognised and appreciated in the way they deserve. We are in awe of the wonderful and tireless work of our community who have adapted to change with resilience and innovation and continued to provide their patients with exceptional care. So, thank you!

We’ve done some reflecting too - and wanted to share our highlights of 2020 with this year's holiday message.
