New mini-quiz!

New ways to measure kidney function

Do you know the best method of assessing kidney function in your cancer patients? eviQ are leading the development of the International Consensus Guideline for Anticancer Drug Dosing in Kidney Dysfunction to standardise the assessment of kidney function using eGFRCKD-EPI  and inform anticancer drug dosing in kidney dysfunction.

Get a handle on the new evidence in anticipation of the guideline release in 2022 with a self-assessment quiz on our app. Use the QR code to access the Kidney mini quiz, or visit our mini quizzes homepage for more information.

What's on your Christmas wish list?

Last year you told us you wanted an app, a BMT course, shorter podcasts and a focus on oncological emergency rapid learnings. We literally planned our year to ensure we delivered on as many of your ideas as possible - and we're again inviting you to help shape your eLearning in 2022 with our annual planning survey!

We're also appealing to you to please forward the survey to as many of your colleagues as possible so we can ensure we are representing new and potential users as well as those who know all about us and what we do!

ADAC update

A big congratulations to our wonderful Pharmacy ADAC subject matter expert Courtney Oar who became a mum to baby James in October.  Unbelievably Courtney still managed to present at our cancer pharmacists workshop in November!

In other ADAC news, we are in the final testing stages of Module 1, Safe handling of hazardous drugs and cytotoxic waste, and are currently building modules 2 and 3 which will be out for review in the first quarter of 2022. We are also busy writing content for modules 4-7.

A big thank you to all our reviewers for the years contribution!

We won!

The eviQ Education team are celebrating a clean sweep at LearnX awards last month! We took three from three awards - including the top prize for their rapid response to the growing PPE shortage during covid. The winning resource was created with an incredible 72 hour turnaround over one weekend and took the top prize in its category; the Platinum Award for Best Pandemic Training Response (Health and Safety). Our Telephone triage toolkit won two awards - the Diamond Award for Best Blended Learning Model and the Gold Award for Best Free elearning Resource Design. We're so pleased to have the resources recognised against some heavy corporate competition and end a tough year on a high!!

Happy holidays - almost there!

Miss something from the year? We've summarised all our new resources in our end of year video.

It's important for us to reflect on another impossible year for health professionals - and we want to take a moment to recognise and show our appreciation of your wonderful contribution to our community! Thank you! We wish you all a safe and happy holiday season!

NB: eviQ Education and the Cancer Institute NSW offices will be closed from Friday 24 December to Friday 7 December.

End of year shout outs!

Joan Thomas and Wendy O’Dea have played major roles on two of our big projects this year.

Joan Thomas lead a dedicated group of nurses from across Australia to create DOT, a standardised tool that supports nurses to provide safe care for their patients on their day of treatment. Her dedication to advocate for patient care and supporting cancer health professionals is phenomenal and we would like to thank Joan for her involvement in the creation of not only this tool, but the 24 hour triage toolkit, which recently received two awards at the LearnX Industry awards.

Wendy O’Dea led the development of the Monoclonal antibodies and immune checkpoint inhibitors (formerly Immunotherapies) course due for release in early 2022.  Wendy has worked with a group of 23 clinicians to bring a more defined scope to the existing course to make it more comprehensive for cancer health professionals.  Our sincere thanks to Wendy for her contribution.
