Information for learners

eviQ Education is a standard website content management system, without the functionality to track or record any completions or progress. This is a function of a Learning Management System (LMS).

However, you do not need a login to access eviQ Education eLearning.

The eviQ Education video below has tips for learners on navigating eLearning modules, finding available information and keeping track of results.

Courses with multiple modules have been designed to be completed sequentially, but not all parts of a course are mandatory. Check with your local educator/course facilitator before you begin.

Each eLearning module includes an estimated completion time. This is based on the average time for learners – however please note that everyone is different, and this will differ across individuals.

Modules include written content and images, and often include videos. There are also interactive learning activities to support learning and reinforce the key points in the content. These are not mandatory for the completion of the course. If you do not review all these components, you will complete the course more quickly.

The timing of completion of in-person components will be based on your local facility timeframes and workloads.

There is a completion status bar to show how far through the eLearning module you are. Each section also has a completion ring to show your progress. Once each section is complete it will be marked with a tick.

Course facilitators are experienced staff members designated by their health care facility to deliver education (such as ADAC). There are recommendations for the levels of experience facilitators/assessors should have for each of the ADAC courses.

Facilitator roles will vary – often they are experienced nurse educators, clinical nurse consultants, clinical nurse specialists, or cancer pharmacists.

Yes. All content and assessment strategies in eviQ Education courses are standardised so that completion of the course will be recognised should you wish to transfer to another cancer centre in Australia.

Provided the health care facility implements the eviQ Education course, your Certificates of Completion and Certificates of Competency are all that you require. However, please note it is your responsibility to maintain and provide these personal records – the eviQ Education website does not store your enrolment or completion information.

Recognition of learning depends on the resource you complete.

Most eviQ Education resources provide certificates for you to keep as part of your records of learning. On completion of online assessments (eQuizzes), you have the ability to print and/or screenshot your results page, which can be used as evidence of completion.

Not all resources include an eQuiz result or a certificate. In this situation, you must record your self-directed learning activity via your CPD journal.

Please note that some certificates can only be awarded on completion following completion of both online assessment plus practical, competency-based assessment. The ADAC and CVADs blended learning courses are examples of blended eLearning courses. In this case, certificates of completion are awarded by your local facility educator/assessor, following successful completion of practical assessments.

You need to log relevant eviQ Education courses as self-directed CPD and document according to professional body requirements. Certificates and printed results are essential for CPD where the governing board stipulates these as a requirement of assessment or certificate evidence.
