It is recommended that facilitators and clinical assessors of blended learning courses have completed the relevant course and have a thorough understanding of materials to ensure currency and accuracy when:
- supporting learners though the course
- supervising clinical skills practice sessions
- completing competency assessments.
eviQ Education recommends any person taking on a facilitator or assessor role has a minimum of 3 years’ experience (for instance, in the administration of anti-cancer drugs and experience in workplace assessment, or in cancer pharmacy for that course).
Facilitators and clinical assessors must be:
- experienced and competent in the clinical skills assessed
- approved by their health facility to undertake clinical assessments.
